You go girl! This is your diary, it's your forum to write whatever it is that you see fit. *hugs*

You are absolutely right. I use my diary often to rant there rather than "kick the dog" (something I would never do). As a responsible mother, your diary is far from the "oh poor me" moaning that some have anyway. I read you regularly and am sure you have many fine qualties we never hear about. No one has the right to try to use your words against you. They certainly aren't your or your husbands friend. Long winded as usual, hugs, Curiouoso*

I love your diary, and I have plenty of my own opinions, but I don't voice them as loudly, tending to keep them to myself, because I don't like to make waves, even when I disagree with someone. (I disagreed with spiritopias one time, but when I saw it was turning into an argument, I chose to end the conversation there.) I was kind of angry when I read that "wife beater" comment, and was tempted to say something in my own diary, but for now I haven't been much in the mood for writing about serious things, and it's not necessarily my business. Being you and your husband are the target, I'm kind of relieved to see this entry, because it needed to be said. And I agree, there isn't much to work through on enjoying the good things, that's why I write sometimes, I think I should write more about my children, about the things they did that made me smile. I think your diary has gotten closer to doing that than mine has.

Yes, we reveal what we choose to reveal--and even who to reveal it to. If certain individuals understood that in the first place, none of this would have happened. But when people have no respect for one another's boundaries, things get ugly. My only regret is that you got caught in the crossfire.

Just because an individual feels he or she may have possibly been disespected is no reason to to disrespect anyone else. Keep writing and enjoy diaryland...
